Hi there, parents! Finding support for kids with ADD, ASD, or social challenges can be tough—and traditional lessons often feel like work. At Board Game Academia, we change that.
The Low-Pressure Classroom:
Social situations feel like a puzzle for many kids. We solve this by transforming complex social concepts into engaging board games.
Learning Shouldn't Feel Like Work:
We use clear rules to teach skills like taking turns, managing frustration, and perspective-taking.
Practice Without Pressure:
Games create a safe, low-stakes environment. Your child practices new behaviors and learns from mistakes without real-life pressure. It's practice in disguise!
Intentional, Focused Coaching
The real magic is the intentional coaching alongside the fun. This is a carefully designed learning experience, not a casual game night.
Small Group, Big Impact (Max 6 Students!):
Your child is never lost. My small groups ensure personalized attention. I guide and give immediate feedback, tailoring support in real-time for faster, tangible growth.
Special Education Meets Success:
Drawing on my Special Education background, I deeply understand diverse learners. I use practical methods to meet your child where they are, helping them navigate ADD, ASD, and social anxieties.
Skills That Stick: From Board to Real World
Building the Bridge:
We actively ensure your child connects lessons to interactions at home and school. You'll receive practical strategies to reinforce skills.
Confidence to Thrive:
My aim is for your child to move past anxiety, build genuine connections, and gain the confidence to truly thrive among their peers.
FAQ
What is your policy on behavior management?
We view challenging behavior as communication signaling an unmet need. Our approach is proactive: we establish a safe space where students are explicitly taught to communicate their needs and are always given time and space to regulate before engaging. Crucially, we collaborate with parents and teachers beforehand to establish a baseline understanding of potential triggers, ensuring a supportive environment from the very first session.
Who is the ideal student for this group?
This group is a great fit for a student who:
Needs low-pressure practice with skills like starting conversations, handling conflict, or reading peer cues.
Thrives in a predictable structure and benefits from a small group size (Max 6).
Is ready to learn and engage with peers who share similar developmental or social profiles
How is this different from therapy or school social skills?
While therapy explores the "why" of behavior and school programs address the "must" of classroom rules, we intensely focus on the "how"—the practical path to social competence.
We are the bridge to skill mastery. We use our small groups and game-based methods to give your child the consistent, low-pressure practice and repetition they need. This moves skills beyond theory and builds them into natural, confident social habits that work in the real world.
